Louisiana fishing charters - It's breaking daylight and the Captain has the engines running in preparation for another great fishing charter into the Louisiana Gulf of Mexico. All tackle and bait has been loaded, the big fish box has been filled with ice, and the huge 65 ft deep sea fishing boat is squeaky clean for you and your guest. A check of the weather reveals another great day of fishing lays ahead.
Feeling the excitement as the deck hand instructs all to board and make themselves comfortable you know it's going to be a day to remember. You depart the dock at Belle Pass Marina and are now on your way to the Gulf and your Louisiana fishing charter. Amazed at all the vessels along the banks of the channel your guest begin clicking away with their cameras to record the sites. Minutes later the vastness of the Gulf of Mexico can be seen as the boat nears Belle Pass. The sun is now rising in the East and another breath taking scene develops before your eyes. The sites, the smell of clean air, you hear someone say, "man it's great to be out here!"
After talking with the Captain it's learned that all the Louisiana fishing charters that week were outstanding. Limits of huge Red Snapper, Lemon Fish, Amberjack and Grouper filled the fish box. The anticipation builds as he points out the first stop of the day. The oil rigs in the Gulf hold an unbelievable variety of saltwater fish. It's the ideal habitat for them.
You hear the engines slow and look ahead to see the big oil rig towering above the gulf. Immediately your heart starts pounding as the excitement builds. The lines are being baited on the big Penn Reels and you're hoping to be the first to land that big one. Minutes later someone shouts out, "I got one." Looking over you see a friend's rod bent almost in half as she reels in the first big Red Snapper of the day. The smile on her face is unforgettable as the deck hand lifts this giant onto the deck. Man it's going to be one great day on the water!
